“American Veterans for Ukraine condemns this latest horrific attack by Russia and Putin in the harshest possible terms. Every day Putin and his forces commit more war crimes.
We also strongly condemn the continued shameful, dangerous, ridiculous and insulting rhetoric of the Trump administration toward Ukraine.
Ukraine is the good guy. Putin is the bad guy. And there is no spinning, deflecting or blurring of that fact.
AVU also strongly condemns the Trump administration’s abandoning of our allies in Ukraine, the abandoning of a search for diplomatic solutions to this terrible war of aggression by Russia, the abandoning of our American values, and the abandoning of America’s reliable support of democracy worldwide.
These are incredibly dangerous times. Ukrainian civilians continue to die daily. Over 19,000 Ukrainian children continue to be brutally and illegally held by Putin. The security of Ukraine, Europe and America continue to be threatened. And there is no space for weakness or fealty in the face of Putin’s threat to the world.
Trump, Vance and Rubio do not speak for most Americans. And they especially do not speak for most American veterans. The majority of the American people, and the majority of American veterans stand with Ukraine.
And we will continue to do so until victory.”
